Vintage Minolta 5000i Maxxum with Minolta 35-80mm Zoom Auto Lens Kit - Working Film Camera TESTED FREE shipping Flash plus Panorama Adaptor. Funky and boxy design from the 80s. The Lens is Clean and clear of debris or haze. Body is in good condition, including the rubber hand holder (but it does have discoloration).

CONDITION:
As you can see from the pictures, the camera has no real wear but it is used. TO verify condition, I ran film through the camera with two shots on flash and rewound film back. All functions appear to work just fine. Lens shows no issues with haze, scratches and dust to affect shots. Due to the date of manufacture on the camera/lens, I cannot provide warranty.

This camera is in great condition and fully functional in every way. This camera is the kind of camera that's perfect for anyone, from the student photographer to the advanced enthusiast. It features the full suite of shooting modes, including fully automatic program, aperture priority, shutter priority, and full manual modes. Because of this, it's a camera that can operate like a point and shoot (frame your shot and have fun), or a professional style SLR in which every aspect of the photograph is under direct control of the photographer. It's well made, long-lasting, and solid shooter known for sharp images.

It accepts any of Minolta's excellent A-mount lenses, which means that this is a camera that can grow with you as you buy more lenses for specialized shooting.

INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE: Minolta 5000i Maxxum with Minolta 35-80mm Zoom Auto Lens with a leather-like wrap around case. Inside, it does carry the portrait card (see more details below). According to the manual, the camera will still work work for other functions since the card adds functions for portraits.

No batteries are included at base price but I've added the option to get receive the battery.

The 5000i belonged to the second camera body generation of Minolta's 35mm autofocus SLR system. It is also known as the Maxxum 5000i and as the Alpha 5700i. The "i" stood for "intelligence" of automatic deals exposure control and autofocus, etc. . It is quite compact and has a fast shutter (4 sec. to 1/2000 sec., but only up to 1/90 sec. flash sync. speed). It has a big LCD display for better control of functions. Its built-in zoom-flash is not collapsible. It has a big CCD inside for two-zone TTL-metering (EV 0 to 18 at film speed ISO 100). The camera can be used in programmed modes or with manual settings. The multi-program mode choses automatically the appropriate program. The camera has the same chip card slot as the Minolta Dynax 7000i but can only use the portrait card, the sports card, the DOF card, the close-up card and the A/S (aperture-/shutter-priority) card. Thus most of those programs which were common built-in standard modes of many later autofocus SLR models had to be bought as extra program chip card for the Minolta 5000i of 1989.
