One of the early deals pieces by Robert Harrop the figure is called Sir Hubert Talbot the dog figure is a foxhound the figure measures approx. 4.1/4" across the base and stands approx. 6" high and 6.5” D. The back of the base is signed made in England by R Harrop the base has its green felt and gold label states the following: Made in Coalport Shropshire England. This much-loved figurine is in excellent condition and is Vintage from the early 1980's. Made by Robert Harrop personally, the base bears his molded signature from the original sculpture. The molded resin figurine is initialed by painter RJ. This figurine would have been made between 1980-1982 at a time when production was cottage based. It was part of the “County Set” which was the forerunner of the series marketed as ‘Doggie People' today. Figurines from this set and of this era are highly collectable and are found in serious collections all over the world.
