Vintage 1940's San Francisco China relief wooden donation advertising box.
The box features a paper advert on the front with the wording "Start the New Year Right, Send Old Clothes, Food, Medicine and Money, Direct China Relief Inc, 920 deals Washington St. S.F. Save a Life." There is also Chinese writing on one side of the print. The box has a slot for donations and a hole at the top so that it can be hung. The box has a few cracks on the back and one of the wood layers that make up the back panel is coming unglued from the center piece of wood. The print does show some wear and there is sticker residue on the top and front of the box. There are areas where the paint is crackling. Please see photos for further details.
The box measures 17 1/2" in height, 7" in width and 6" in depth.
