Large stunning metallic freshwater pearls with a silk bow on top. When knotting my pearl necklaces I end up with leftover silk, so I played around a little and came up with a cute idea. Hand made, artisan and set in sterling silver.

The pearls of this size and shape are often referred to as Kasumi or Edison pearls after the deals pioneers of the pearl growing technique. Nowadays the description nucleated or reborn is coming to use. Most freshwater pearls are nacre all through, but these very large pearls are nucleated. That means they are started with embedding a round core of mother of pearl inside the oyster. The mollusk will then coat the core with a layer of nacre and nurture it as long as several years before harvested and processed.
