ARSENAAL, wearable weaponry based on historical finds from Europe and beyond. Every item in this line is crafted from pure Sterling Silver using the ancient method of casting in sand. This means every item is hand made, one at a time from start to finish. An individual mold is created for each and every piece, then cast in place. All finishing work is done by hand with deals no use of power tools giving what I feel is a stronger sense of history in the finished item. As these are cast in sand there may be slight variance from one piece to the next, making them unique in every way.

This bearded axe pendant is based on historical finds from Northern Europe. It's basic shape was common in the northern tribes and saw its peak use in the 9th - 10th centuries, commonly known as the Viking era. There are many variants of the bearded axe as it was used by many neighboring tribes, each bringing slight variations into them. The bearded hand axe was a common side arm used for close combat but also served as a tool in everyday life on the farm. Another reason they were so commonplace.

The lines are smooth yet aggressive in the design. No added decoration, just a pure axe in pure Silver. Strung on a sturdy leather cord with Sterling hardware.
