"A-tisket, a-tasket, A green and yellow basket ..... this basket has no green or yellow but, it does feature a faux basket weave design. This pressed tin picnic basket has seen some better days. It may have been used and perhaps abused a bit but, through it all, it remained charming! You could pack a lunch and go on a picnic but, this is an awesome display piece too! I use my own metal picnic basket to store my old cook books (last photo).

This hinged picnic basket measures approx. 16" wide x 10" deep x 7" tall. When the swing away wood handles are upright, it is approx. 11" tall. Oh sure, it is missing a front latch, it shows some wear; discoloration, scratches, worn spots, a dent or, two and a wee bit of rust but, it is in still in pretty good shape for it's age. See photos. It opens and closes well however, the lid makes a popping noise when the lid is lowered.
