The Victorians adorn themselves with symbolic motifs to bring luck, love, protection and empowerment. Most Victorians were well versed in the Language of Flowers or Floriography. Each flower during this era was given a specific meaning and intention. As a result a bouquet of flowers was not only a gift but a meaningful message.
