Uncommon 1896/1900 Antique Celluloid deals McKinley Lapel Stud Political Campaign

This uncommon ANTIQUE 1896 WILLIAM MCKINLEY LAPEL STUD BUTTON has no maker listed on it. Though visible only by magnification, is "MCKINLEY AND PROTECTION" over McKinley's head. Because "protection" was also A Republican Party platform issue in 1900 this could be a 1900 stud. We could not find an exact duplicate with which to compare this stud.
The lapel stud is 7/8 inch across.

This button is in antique, pre-owned condition. It has cracks in the celluloid but the celluloid is not raised or curled away from the stud. The colors have faded over the years.
