Kreamer deals Metal Spice Box with 6 Containers and Grater - Antique - 1920's - Rare

I'm pleased to offer this vintage metal box. This Kreamer cream painted metal spice box has a easy carrying handle with a flip up latch that can accommodate a small lock. When you open the box there are 6 individual tinned lidded boxes that hold your spices. 5 out of the 6 have labels: Cinnamon, Sage, Salt, Dill, and Allspice. There is a nutmeg grater that is stored under the lid. When you purchased one of these deals spice boxes it came with labels and decals which where used to decorate this piece. What a great piece of history.
I do not recommend using for any type of food storage in its present condition, but other usages could include storing most any little collections, decorating (I picture the small boxes, lids up, with dried spices, flowers, or other natural decorations!), or finding small plastic or clean metal containers that would fit in these old ones and return the spices to their proper place! *****SAFETY NOTE***** The small boxes were originally tinned. In their present condition it is recommended that the boxes not be used for food storage.

Date: 1920's

Measurements: 10" in width, 7" in depth, 3 1/4" in height.

Condition: Great! Completely intact, with only one small shallow dent in the bottom. The lid, latch, and all 6 storage box hinges are free moving and in proper alignment, with no cracked or worn metal. All boxes are square and the lids fit as designed. The exterior box paint looks very good, with just some minor scratches and wear on the edges. The interior and the bottom of the box along with the individual storage boxes have some surface rust and oxidation staining, but nothing penetrating. Please see photos.
