Each mill is assembled in France at our site in Franche-Comt. To protect environment, post manufacturing waste-wood (chips and sawdust) is collected and recycled. Pepper mill is made of deals case hardened steel that cracks peppercorns before grinding. Salt mill is made of stainless steel that is engineered to resist corrosion. Grind adjusts from fine to coarse.
