Signed Jorgen Jensen Earrings Big Purple Stones Classic Pewterware Beauties From Denmark

ITEM: A pair of signed, Jorgen Jensen pewterware earrings, c.1970s clip backs, done in the Scandinavian Mod style of design, each earring set with a large glass cabochon, purple in color. The simplistic design makes the most of those cabs, being concave with a matte finish bouncing the light beautifully through the purple glass stones. These are a true classic of costume jewelry design from Denmark, typical for this designer at this time period. I believe they are late 60s to 70s however they may be slightly earlier, some i've seen online indicate a mid century mark as time period but I genuinely think they are later. It's probably a researchable question given how well marked they are. Stamped Jorgen Jensen, in script and Denmark in block lettering, they also have the metal type Pewter and the numbers 220. They are clip back style, ear huggers, fitting snug to the lobe. A fantastic pair of earrings in a classic style of design, Danish or Scandinavian Modern deals is highly collectible and desirable. For the completionist collectors out there; a ring, bracelet and necklace of the same design are also out there on the secondary markets and if you're on the hunt; let me know! SIZE: These little eye poppers are 1” tall by 2/3” wide.

CONDITION: In good vintage condition showing minimal wear apparent. Pewter is a softer metal and will show some surface wear but I see no deep scratches or gouges, no chips or cracks and no signs of replacement or repair. The glass cabs look to be original, with no breaks, chips or cracks noted. Well seated, I felt no play to those purple cabs. The clips are intact and functional with good snap and comfy grip. Very clearly marked; as seen in photos. I always recommend using your zoom feature to view all photos and decide whether they meet your own standards for condition as our ratings may differ.
