Very good vintage condition with light sign of use and wear. Very nice quality wood and carving with s few light surface scuffs that could be touched up with furniture feeder or wax. No chips or cracks. This is a sturdy and heavy (5 lb 9 oz) box with 4 attached wood feet. The metal hinged and brass tension closure work properly. This box does not have, nor ever had a locking closure. The interior is lined with a royal blue presentation velvet with no odors or stains. This handcrafted chest is both beautiful and functional.
