I JUST bought this keyboard this year. It's fully functional. If you notice in the 3rd pic, there is a black Apple Pencil strap. I actually bought the strap separately, cut it and gorilla glued it right before the stand, so you can still have the performance you deals want while having the protection you need for your beloved Apple Pencil. If you buy this new, you'll see that they expect the magnet from the iPad to keep it secure. I can assure you this is a (BEST BUY) for your buck… I bought a protective carrying case for my iPad Pro so I refuse to let this thing sit around my house without putting it to good use.
