THE SQUARE SCARF
Inspired by looking at Asian Textiles and Ceramic Arts I painted this piece in acrylic paint using a variety of brushes including many sizes of Chinese brushes. The brushes are versatile and are a joy to work with because they are capable of so many different variations in the brushstrokes. Chinese brushes can be used in a very expressive manner and are always fascinating because you never know what may happen in the process!
These elegant scarves are made of 8mm.habotai silk and have a luxurious feel to the touch. They are custom and digitally printed
using permanent reactive dyes which bond with the organic silk fiber and create sumptuous color. The scarf which is pictured measure 50 X 50 however scarves are available in two shapes and various sizes.
Long: 10"x16", 16"x72".
Square" 16"x16', 24"x24", 36" X 36", 50" X 50".
A machine rolled bay hem provides a durable yet delicate finished edge.
Care is easy, just hand wash in cool water ( 1/4 cup white vinegar and 2TBSPS. of salt) agitate, rinse well and hang dry.
Can be ironed on silk setting. Dry cleaning is another option.
My designs are made with quality materials and great care in their production. The fluidity of the deals silk, the color and pattern of the design create a sleek contemporary look. Scarves are a great way to transform and upgrade any outfit into a distinctive and unique look!
