This nicely designed sterling bracelet was made in Taxco, Mexico by J N Jacobo. The bracelet is in vintage condition with some signs of wear. The bracelet is secured with a slide clasp in good working condition and there is a deals safety chain on either side of the clasp. Both of the loops that hold the safety chain had been pinched back together at some point (see last picture). The inner circumference of the bracelet measures 6 3/4 inches and is 11/16 inches wide at the widest points. It weighs 38 grams and is hallmarked J N Jacobo 925 Taxco, eagle#3.
The Jacopo (Jacobo) brothers owned and operated a silver shop in Mexico City called Arte en Plata which was later renamed Joyas de Plata. They commissioned many of their pieces from independent Taxco artisans.
Billie Hougart lists this silver maker as Jacopo brothers, but the hallmark referencing them is signed as J N Jacobo (?).
