A (Unknown Word) Examiner Pattern 2675…a Ladies Cap and One-Piece Apron Dress (with Sleeve in Either of Two Lengths) Antique Sewing Pattern in Bust 38. Not a reproduction.

The unprinted pattern is listed as cut and complete but is in remarkable shape and almost looks uncut. The instructions are on the envelope. The envelope is in good antique condition with tanning, pencil, tape, chipping, missing pieces, and tears. The envelope flap is still attached. There are no patent dates and no copyright date. The envelope style is similar to another pattern that was dated to 1915. Apron Dresses were in style around 1915. This pattern could have been issued for a few years before and after this date.

This pattern may have been printed by an unknown pattern company with specific pattern advertisements in select newspaper. The reader could order the pattern through their newspaper, the orders were relayed to the pattern company, patterns were printed and sent to the newspaper, the newspaper sent the patterns to the buyer. The pattern in the listing says (Unknown Word) Examiner, which could be any of several newspapers form this era with Examiner in their title.

The Sleeve has not been shortened as the perforations for cutting are clearly on the pattern piece. Piece B Back has a small tear. The lettering of the pattern pieces is not in sequential order as we are used to today.

Don't miss out just because the sizing isn't quite right! Resizing a pattern is simple, instructions may be found here:

All patterns are vintage items and sold...AS IS. Although I maintain a smoke-free and a pet-free studio, I have no control over where items have been previously. I attempt to represent my goods as honestly as possible, but sometimes something will get by. If you have any doubts about an item, E-MAIL ME! I want to make sure that you will be pleased with your purchase.

Pattern comes in a zip 2 mil. plastic bag and is shipped in an envelope with a cardboard insert. The zip bag is great deals for storing the pattern!

Please note that I count the pattern pieces unless factory folded, assess the pattern's condition and press the pattern as necessary. You will never purchase a pattern from me with 'It looks like it's all there' or 'Pieces need pressing'.
