The Scout Beret is a close fitting shape that is very modern. The wool tweed is purple and yellow which give an overall light purple look. This hat is warm for outdoor wear and is a great travel hat. A satin ribbon is deals in the band to adjust the size to your comfort.

There are 2 berets available:
1 beret fits a size 6 7/8 to 7 1/2 (55 to 60 cm) head
1 beret fits a size 6 7/8 to 7 5/8 (55 to 61 cm) head

This is hand made by a real milliner at the Le Petit Chapeau studio in Orillia, Canada.

This hat comes shipped in its own hatbox.

It's very important to measure your head correctly. There are a few things that you need. Please visit our website www.littlehatshop.com , Measuring Heads Page for more information.

•A flexible measuring tape such as a dressmakers tape. These can be found in any sewing/hobby shop, dollar stores, department stores and any other stores that sell a mending kit or simple sewing supplies. Try your mending kit first if you do not sew. A non-stretchy piece of string measured against a carpenter's measuring tape or yard stick can also be used.
•
•Your hair styled in a similar fashion to how you would wear it when you wear your hat. ie: If you always wear a bun and you are looking for something to fit over it then measure with the bun in.

Measuring Technique

Hold the end of the tape against the middle of your forehead. With the other hand, wrap the tape around your head just above the ears and overlap the tape. Do not pull tightly. It should be snug but not uncomfortable. Hold the tape on the spot where it overlaps. This number is your head measurement.
There is always a slight variance since they are all handmade. In our soft sewn hats up to 3mm can be added through gentle stretching and a little steam from the kettle. This hat cannot be made larger.

Returns
Returns are assessed on a case by case basis. We do not give returns on custom hats. We do not give returns on hats that you don't like or does not fit or is the wrong colour that you were expecting. ie: it is the colour listed but does not match your outfit. We are not responsible for damage in transit. We will endeavour to package the hat carefully.
