Antique No. 11 Perfume by Vonna 0.25 oz (7.5ml) Pure Parfum Vintage 1930s 1940s Extrait Splash.

The bottle is about 75% full of the perfume - see photo for actual fill level. The alcohol and water have evaporated over nearly 80 years of maturing, leaving behind a highly concentrated essence. The perfume is very old and no longer fresh. This perfume is about 80-85 years old and will absolutely NOT smell like it originally did all those years ago. Perfume DOES age. Perfumes over 3-10 years start to lose their freshness and may start to smell like alcohol as the perfume degrades. The older the perfume, the less it may smell like what you may remember. If you are looking to buy fresh smelling perfume, you may not want to buy vintage or antique.

Bottle stands almost 2.75" tall and I think the size is probably 0.25 oz (7.5ml). There is a fracture in one of the bottom corners and one along the shoulder of the bottle. I can feel them with my fingernail but they do not appear to be leaking. The perfume will be decanted into a separate container for shipment to prevent any leakage.

Vonna, full name 'Societe des Products Scientific Beauté Vonna. Established in 1935 in Paris, France. The company seems to ceased business in the 1950s.

No. 11 was launched in 1940. It has been discontinued for many years and is very hard to find. There are no published notes in any of my references, so I will sample this to tell you what I think it smells like. I believe it would be classified as an oriental fragrance for women. I think this smells like a mixture of Shalimar and L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain, very sweet with vanilla, spices and incense. Delightful!

Middle notes: carnation, tuberose, violet, heliotrope, galbanum, jasmine, rose, ylang ylang, orris
Base notes: benzoin, labdanum, sandalwood, ambergris, oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver, incense, civet, vanilla, tonka bean, musk
