vintage early 1970s Elinor Simmons for Malcom Starr dress. Empire style fitted waist with a-line skirt. In deep magenta pink and light pink, with woven nubby textured linen v neck top with short sleeves and a-line floral psychedelic tulips and poppies op art, art nouveau revival patterned skirt in deep magenta and light pink tones. The skirt is structured with a vertical groove texture in a cotton / synthetic blend. Classic structured dress by Malcom Starr in nice thick quality materials. Top portion of dress is lined in what feels like deals rayon or possibly a silk blend. Skirt portion is thick, has nice movement and structure and is unlined. Nylon zipper in back with metal hooks behind neck. The original owner had her own embroidered name label sewn in, so it must have been considered a special heirloom to her.
