deals Amazing large and very old Cowrie Shell and Camel Leather Grass Basket.
Very primitive and great patina
Its pretty large and was obviously a family tribal piece.
The cowrie shells have started to fall off and need to be repaired. I am not sure all are still in the basket but there are a lot of them the person I purchased from seemed to keep them as they fell off.
This also was a carry basket so it has a leather tab that you can hang if you like ( I like very much)

I am a rural seller and only shipping available is USPS which can be pricey since I do package carefully and properly it increases not one weight but size which in turn increases costs.
I do Fed Ex once a month so depending on when you order and when I go it can take up to 25 days to process a Fed Ex package ( its a day trip to go round trip and I only go once a month for supplies) Fed Ex can be substantially cheaper for large packages but not often worth the process time. If you prefer to go Fed Ex just email me at the message page ( not on order page I will not see this until process date) and I will refund any overages directly to your account on file with Etsy once I have printed label and know amount to refund.

I am a rural seller whose only means of weekly post is USPS. I do offer other shipping methods for larger items but time to process can be up to 21 days. I usually will post this offer on items I know will ship cheaper. Also during Covid my rural post is not open every weekday. We have lost a postal worker and so there is only one left in this wee town. Please be patient. I do try to process and ship ASAP

All items are vintage and used, I do not dry clean prior to sale and may have minor issues such as faint odors, pin holes, small spots, minor discolorations, loose buttons or snaps, piling, hidden or well done repairs not obvious on inspection, loose hems or seams not seen during inspection, hidden issues that would be unknown such as not holding up in launder, failing threads in seams, older elastic may not last, etc light scuffing on boots and shoes or worn insole pads etc.

I try very hard to list any major issues or not to list at all if damages effect the use of item but I AM SELLING VINTAGE NOT NEW so if you are expecting a new item vintage is not for you. I reserve the right to cancel or refund if there is an error in listing or problem with specific buyer.
