Vintage Tin Milk Strainer, Large, Seamless, Rolled Lip, Circa 1940s, Very deals Good Condition, Great Patina, German Baptist Heritage
deals Vintage Milk Strainer, Metal, Circa 1940s, Large, Great Vintage Condition, Wonderful Patina, Three Pieces. This large metal strainer, probably used to strain milk, measures 8 3/4" tall by x 5 3/4" across the lower strainer portion and 12 1/2" across the open rolled-lip top. It is a mix of metal and surface rust. I would say it is in great vintage condition. This metal strainer was probably designed to strain dairy products; however, it is deal for use in straining any foods that require straining. It comes with an adjustable strainer insert and spring-bracket to hold it in place. The bottom of the strainer also has permanent strainer holes. It is easy to use and easy to clean, no seams so it is less likely to collect bacteria. It was used on a private farm of a German Baptist couple that no longer farm. These owners can trace it back four generations to a family farm in Indiana. It could be used for wine-making, brewing, or canning and preserving. It measures 8 3/4" tall, 5 3/4" strainer-base diameter, 12 1/2" mouth/top diameter, and it weighs 2 3/4 Lbs. It is in very good condition, only issues are several dents and patina from use. Thanks for stopping by!
