A Very Exclusive Piece of SOVIET RUSSIA LACQUER MINIATURE

AUTHENTIC SIGNED KHOLUY HAND PAINTED IN EGG TEMPERA PAPIE-MACHE LACQUER ROUND BOX

The The box is Signed by the Artist & Titled in Cyrillic in Gold at the lower edge of the round cover:
"Аленький Цветочек пос. Холуй Степанов" ( "The Scarlet Flower" KHOLUY in the center and Artist Stepanov - translation from Russian)

The cover is professionally thoroughly hand painted with high details and traditional gold-dotted all around the cover edge - typical for old lacquer miniature at that time.

The interior is traditionally red with golden sticker: Made In USSR.

This is really vintage lacquer miniature box from 1950s - Not New Done Low Quality Mass product made for tourists.

Came from the estate of Russian family immigrated to USA in 1960s.

Measurements of round box approximately: 3 1/2 inches across the top x 0.7/8" high.
