Shibuichi means "one-fourth" in Japanese, and indicates the standard formulation of deals one part silver to three parts copper, though this may be varied considerably according to the desired effect, anywhere from 5% to 90%. The difference in composition is based on what coloration is desired; from deep browns to whites. We use a 10% silver shibuichi for a dark brown contrast against the reticulated silver. The shibuichi will continue to mature until it reaches its final brown tones.
We use a fine silver (100%) arrowed stitched in with the shibiuchi to create this stunning masterpiece of a ring.
