-Handmade Japanese wooden tea caddy with natural bark; originally made for storing tea. It is about 40-50 years old, but the inside does not look used. I found this when I lived in Japan for nine years, at a Japanese antique store in Kyoto. -Skillfully carved wood (hand turned) tea container and lid made of thick beautifully grained Japanese wood and natural bark (2” strip near the center). A unique wabi-sabi piece.-It is signed with Japanese kanji on one side with the artisan or company name. There are a few scratches near the signature (see photos). -It can be used for storing tea, or it could also be repurposed to stash something else like coins, etc.Such a unique gift, kitchen décor, or rustic shelf décor.-Unique sustainable gift for you or someone else! ***FEATURES: -Size: 6” height x 12 ½” around the center x 2 ¼” bott m diameter.-Material: Japanese Wood with Bark**CONDITION: Vintage, used condition; 40 years old or more.
