Vintage Battersea Box from Halcyon Days Enamels produced in the 1980's.
This is the egg shaped lidded box from Easter 1985.
Blue with gold lettering.
24k gold plated hinged lid and base.
Made in England.
2 1/2 inches long.
Certificate of Authenticity included.
Battersea Bilston English Enamel Box comes in a velvet lined box from Halcyon Days.
From the 13 page booklet included with the Battersea Box:
"Halcyon Enamels are direct descendants of the rare and beautiful enamels of the 18th century England. They are made by craftsmen and hand painted in Bilston, the traditional Georgian center of enameling of copper. Processed by collectors all over the world both as tokens of taste and sentiment and as small works if art with acknowledged investment value, they are the antiques of tomorrow."

A bit about vintage...Most items are used as they are 20-50 plus years old. Sometimes items can be found that have been stored for years and have remained somewhat pristine; others have been gently used and may bear the signs of this and some deals may be downright shabby from years of use or neglect, but this patina of age can add to its charm.
