Bright gilt present on the cover. Cloth and gilt on the spine is darkened / soiled. Some wear and tearing of cloth on upper and lower spine. Back cover cloth is plain gray and good. Number "13" pressed on back cover with decorative emblem. Endpapers are light yellow with a penned signature of former owner. Interior pages are soft, clean and white with occasional light soiling along upper page edge. Rear eps are good. Hinge is cracked at rear endpapers. 423 pages, 7 3/8 x 5"

Significant discoloration of cloth along right cover edge. Discoloration of spine cloth and gilt title is fading. Book may lean forward slightly. Eps are gray with a pencil marking from a shop. Color plate frontispiece illustration. Light foxing on the title page. Cover corners are bumped with board visible.
