Vintage Native American Sterling Silver Necklace with Turquoise and Brown Pen Shell Heishi Beads

Heishi jewelry is believed to be the oldest form of jewelry making in New Mexico, and deals perhaps in all of North America.
Forty-Eight (19) natural turquoise beads are the central focus of this necklace interspersed with brown pen shell heishi beads incorporated along the length of the necklace.
The turquoise is a perfect blue coloring. There is very little matrix within the turquoise.
Each of the brown pen shell beads is approximately 2.1mm in diameter while the turquoise beads are about about 4mm x 15mm.
The beads are threaded with waxed thread.
