I love the colors in this beautiful indienne piece from France! This antique textile is from the 1870s and has a wonderful printed pattern of exotic floral and tropical foliage ~ This piece is an indienne and it is gorgeously drawn and detailed! This piece is a linen cotton blend, with a grayed and aged white ground, and has been hand block printed with fantastic purple, red and pink floral design! This fabric is a medium weight and is ideal for pillows, light upholstery, quilting, framing, design inspiration, and many other wonderful sewing projects!

MEASUREMENTS: This wonderful fabric measures approximately 32 inches wide and 69 inches long.

CONDITION : This piece has been kept in as found, not freshly laundered condition but can be hand washed and hung to dry. This piece has faded unevenly. One edge has a small split. There are some scattered faint marks, foxing, and a few tiny scattered holes in this piece. This fabric isn't perfect, but it's perfectly wonderful for anyone who appreciates the signs of time and use inherent in these wonderful antique textiles!
