HTF Old Paris Schneeballen Porcelain Perfume Bottle c. 1800s. Dimensions: 5" H w/ stopper & 4" H w/o top, 3.5” W, 12.6 oz. Minor chipping to some flowers & some gilt has worn off due to age. No cracks or chips to the bottle/stopper. Gorgeous! This Meissen-style porcelain decoration was pioneered in the 18th Century. Schneeballen (German for snowball) refers to the multiple spheres that decorate the surface of the porcelain and is easily identifiable by the extensively detailed flower blossoms. This perfume bottle is decorated all over with tiny white deals mayflowers, interjected with gilt on the bottle & stopper. While this piece is not marked, it is most likely "Old Paris" as many of the Old Paris pieces were not marked, but white porcelain w/ gilt decoration is a hallmark of Old Paris.
