Vintage French Psalm Book, Antique Leather Psalm Book, French deals Gilt Edged Psalm Book, Antique Pocket Psalm Book, Antique Gilt Religious Book

This is a stunning piece of French Religious (ecclesiastical) history. Print date of this Psalm Book is 1884 and it belonged to Elisa Aussbaum, who has signed the first page, together deals with a date of 1887 (please see photo). The book has a lovely embossed black leather cover, with a gorgeous brass metal clasp, which clips shut. It has a beautiful black and gilt flower-design flyleaf (front and back). The delicate pages inside are all intact and are gilt edged. Some pages have foxing/age spots, which is to be expected with a well used book of this age. Pages can be held by an emerald green ribbon. The book comes with its original dust sheet, which has worn edges and a couple of tears (please refer to the photos) but it has done its job in preserving the Book. You can see by this dust sheet that this Psalm Book has been used and loved by not only Elisa but by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc!
