Wood bowl made from various pieces of hardwood a friend had given me.
Decided to try a new technique when making this bowl. Typically segments are cut at an angle and then glued to a round shape. For this bowl, I glued boards together and then cut into circles. Always fun to try something new. Check out some of the pictures for the process.
The bowl is 12L x 12W x 4.5H and weighs 1.5lb, includes Paddock, Zebra Wood, and Mahogany.
After retiring in June 2020, I've started doing wood working in my spare time. Mostly bowls turned on the wood lathe with some other odds and ends depending on the style of wood. 90% of the wood is local (Packwood, WA) that I have either collected myself or scored from an Arborist friend.
