This is a gorgeous vintage Rosenthal Selb compote centerpiece bowl hand painted with grapes and leaves. The bowl is beautifully painted both on the outside and inside. The colors are greens, purples, and golds with gilt trim. The handles are shaped like ladies' faces. The bowl is marked on the bottom Rosenthal-Selb Bavaria Empire. The mark dates the piece to circa 1910. The bowl is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The hand painted grapes and leaves pattern looks virtually perfect. There is a just a little gilt wear on the handles. The bowl has a wonderful presence. It measures 12 inches across from handle to handle. The bowl itself has a diameter of 9-1/4 inches. It stands 4-1/2 deals inches tall. The bowl will be double boxed for safe shipment.
