Product code: Vintage Waterford Crystal deals Martini Pitcher With Ice Lip - Mid Century Barware
A fantastic piece of vintage Waterford Crystal barware, this hand crafted deals Martini pitcher was originally produced in 1962 (410-286). The pitcher is specifically designed for serving martinis and features a spout or lip with a small ridge on the inside, known as an ice lip, which helps to prevent ice cubes from splashing into the glass when pouring the drink. The pitcher features a series of diamond criss cross cuts and fan cuts that sit above a series of long vertical cuts along the body of the pitcher. The acid etched Waterford mark is located directly beneath the bottom of the handle. The pitcher stands 7 1/4" with a base diameter of 3" (handle to spout is 5 1/2") and it holds 24 fluid oz. It is in overall very good vintage condition. Upon very close inspection, there is a very small rough patch where the upper handle adjoins to the pitcher that appears to be manufacturing related. There is also a very small mark on top of handle; neither of these detract from its beauty.
