⚘ There are 5.8 grams of solid perfume, just over 0.2 ounces, in the round violet glass jar measuring 1 3/8" x 1 1/8" deep.

⚘ The jar contains a honey bee wax seal on the top and arrives with three informational cards. Ready as a gift to oneself or someone you cherish and appreciate.

Chiaroscuro is a shape shifter, she is both the beauty and the beast from mythical heroic stories. She is the light of the luminous moon and the darkness of the night. She is a spell caster and connected to the archetype of the Magdalene. Anoint and envision what you want to manifest for the next season.

⚘ This botanical perfume obtained its name from the world of painting, the term comes from Italy, referring to the tonal contrasts suggesting volume and modeling of the subjects depicted. The literal translation of the word is light-dark.

⚘ Fragrance family: Oriental, Soft yet dark floral
⚘ The fragrance is imbued with an infusion of jasmine sambac blossoms I have gently gathered and extracted from my plants in California.

⚘ Chiaroscuro is a shape shifter, she is both the beauty and the beast from mythical heroic stories. She is the light of the luminous moon and the darkness of the night. She is the spell caster, anoint and envision what you want to manifest for the next season. The perfume is sweet and dark, naughty and nice. The opening features a candied spicy sweetness reminiscent of carnations from the bergamot, myrtle and spice this contrasts nicely the dark base of patchouli, jatamansi (spikenard), woods and resins.

⚘ In the same tradition of the gourmet artisan culinary arts, I make these nature fragrances by hand using the highest quality natural raw materials. All these perfumes are made with essential oils, co2 extracts, absolutes and my very own plant infusions. The beeswax is from my hives or other holistically minded, west coast bee guardians.

⚘ There is quite a lot of smoke and mirrors with the words "natural", "botanical", etc. I have a blog post about it at my journal. I wish people wouldn't deals lie, we live in a dualistic reality which is currently run by greed, and thus so it is.

⚘ No synthetic, animal, phthalate or paraben materials — completely cruelty free with no animal testing by me or my suppliers.
