The Red Scapular of the Passion dates back to 1846 in which an apparition of Jesus promised that all who wear it will have a great increase of faith, hope, and charity. This scapular invokes the blessings of the Holy Passion of Jesus Christ upon the wearer. It is important to note that scapulars are by no means magical. In order to receive the blessings of a scapular it is important that you have it blessed and invested by a priest.

According to the revelation claimed by Sister Apolline, to wear the blood-red scapular was to be "clad in the livery" of Christ's passion and that it "will prove to us a strong armor against infernal assaults, an impenetrable buckler against the arrows of our spiritual enemies and, according to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all who wear it with faith and piety it will be a pledge of pardon, a source of grace."

Hand Embroidered Red Scapular (Scapular of The Passion of Our Lord) made of 100% Woven Merino Wool panels and connected by two straps of 1/8" Red 100% Wool.

One Panel depicts The Crucifix with the clouds split open and rays of glory showering down upon the Crucifix; some of the Arma Christi (Instruments of Torture) - The "Reed" with hyssop and sponge, containing vinegar and gall, The pointed "Lance" that pierced the side of Our Lord and went into His Sacred Heart, The "Ladder" - symbolic of His descent into Hell, The "Hammer" used to drive the stakes into Our Lords innocent flesh and "Pincers" to draw them out, The "Pillar/Column" - a key symbol of the trial and condemnation of Our Lord...where he was scourged, "Veronica's Veil" flowing atop the pillar/column, The "Whip" used to drive Our Lord along the Via Dolorosa, The "Bronze Vessel and Basin" in which Pilate washed his hands of the demands of the people, and The "Scourge" used to lash Our Lord upon the pillar/column.

The other panel depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary with a Cross between them and two angels on bended knee in adoration.
