Lacquer kodansu of square/rectangular form, with hinged door opening to three drawers, decorated in gold and gold foil. This is a lavish, elaborately decorated cabinet from the edo period of Japan. 18th century. It is in beautiful condition with all hardware pieces in deals tact. The two lower drawers seem difficult to pull fully out- so I haven't forced them. This small and beautiful cabinet is inlayed of gold and abalone shell.
