Product code: 1940's Vintage Reja Blue deals Rhinestone Brooch
A 1940's vintage brillant blue rhinestone and gold wash flower brooch by the Reja Jewelry Co. This large flower features 10 beautiful blue prong set, facet cut crystal rhinestones accented by small clear rhinestones in between and at tips of each petal. This piece is in very good vintage condition. The only deals flaw being a couple of the clear rhinestones at tips have grayed with age. 2 3/4" across. Marked Reja. Reja Jewelry Co. was founded in 1932 by Solomon Finklestein in New York as an unmarked jewelry wholesaler. In 1939 he decided to enter retail sales using the name Deja, however due to a legal dustup over name copyright and after a New York Supreme Court decision on January 17th, 1941 the name was changed to Reja. Although creating high quality small batch jewelry featured in Vogue and Harpers the company went bankrupt in December 1953. As a result this beautiful jewelry is rather rare.
