Product code: Deals Metal Sculpture of Man Digging - After Jean Garnier
After some research it is deals apparent that this sculpture is identical to one that was made by Jean Garnier. Jean Garnier's version is in bronze and is signed. This has all of the same details, but no signature and doesn't appear to be made of bronze. Where the paint has flaked off it reveals a silver metal. There is no indication of who produced it, if you search for 'Jean Garnier peasant' you will see the original bronze. It is a great looking sculpture. The base can be removed (see last pic) and it stands just as well and looks great. The details are fantastic and the ageing of the paint gives a nice patina.
