Beautiful antique Cooper Bros of Sheffield (founded 1866) oval silver plated, A1 superior quality, serving dish with maker's mark stamped on the base, C & S Bros, number 2743, A1, EP. Lovely detailing of the scalloped top rim. Nice, heavy weight, tiny pinpoint ding in the center base and lots of scratches due to previous use of a knife for cutting meat or other food stuffs. Still a practical serving dish to use on the dining table. It would also look lovely with a doily in the base and used as a decorative dish filled with Christmas baubles, pinecones, or even candies.
