1pc Custom Lace Fabric, Ivory/Beige, 46in. Wide x 2 Yds, Laura deals Embroidery Co., Inc., Vintage 1940s – 50s

For your consideration, this rare and unique piece of ivory/beige custom-made lace fabric.

Based on the limited amount of information I could find, the lace fabric was a custom piece made by the Laura Embroidery Company, Inc. The buyer would select the design and the materials and the piece would be made. The manufacturing tag is still deals attached.

I am dating this piece from sometime in the 40s-50s based on the telephone number printed on the manufacturing tag…when was the last time you called the operator and had them place your call with an alpha-numeric telephone number? According to information found online, it seems the United States started phasing out the alpha-numeric numbers and the need for an operator to make the call sometime in the mid-50s.

The fabric was photographed partially over a white sheet for ease of viewing the details.

The single continuous 46in. wide x 2 yards piece is in excellent condition. No holes, stains, tears and no odors.
