The No.1 Captain's Log was the beginning for us. Sailing with friends we identified a hole - no one produced a quality, customisable log that fulfilled the needs of the cruising yachtie. Our captain's log is a useful thing that is crafted from beautiful materials. When you pick it up we want you to feel the craftsmanship and to immediately know that what you're holding and writing your stories of adventure in is something special, something nice.

Made with beautiful dark brown vegetable tanned leather the cover is crafted in the midori design with quality round elastic holding the cover closed and the books in place. The leather is heat embossed with vessel name and edges are beveled and burnished for a quality finish. The cover is protected by our 100% natural leather balm finishing the item with a luxury feel and smell.

Inside you have two individually custom printed books hand cut and stitched. The first book is your captain's log where all manner of information is recorded. This book is printed with your vessel name on the cover as well as on page one along with an inscription, quote or snippet of something meaningful to the captain and crew. Following are 124 pages of beautiful lined acid free writing paper in 90 GSM.

The second book is the Engineer's Log, again customised to the vessel. This book is where critical maintenance related information is recorded - something that many yachties overlook simply because they do not have a special place to write this information down.

Both books contain a short list of what you may want to record which can be very helpful to crew when passed the responsibility of completing the log.
