A real human molar that measures .75 inch hangs on a delicate, fine 20 inch, sterling silver cable chain. It is held by a sterling silver plated, tiny cap on this dainty necklace.

All of our human deals teeth come from dental schools. Students of dentistry need volunteers to work on. Schools will actually pay certain people to have students work on them, like pull their impacted wisdom teeth, so students can have the experience on real people.
The school then gives the teeth to companies that pick up " biohazards" from hospitals, schools and other institutions. These companies dispense with some of the organic matter from these places, but clean and sell others. Teeth are professionally cleaned and sold, mostly back to schools, but sometimes to artists.

The tooth you will receive may not be the one pictured, but it will be an adult molar. I always choose ones with good ridges and crevices for our jewelry, never worn down and always at least two separated roots.
