SUCH a gorgeous piece! This beautiful Pickard sugar bowl dates from circa 1912 to 1918, and remains in excellent condition. This piece has the WA Pickard mark inside the gold leaf, used between 1912-1918. Specifically, a circular mark with the words "Handpainted, Pickard, WA, China" is imprinted inside the maple leaf in dark letters.(Reference: https://www.pickardchina.com/info.cfm?action=trademarks)
The piece is finished in the company's signature All Over Gold glaze. The veneer is made all the more dimensional by the uniquely designed crackle-finish, giving it a wonderful texture and dimension. The interior has a smooth white finish, as does the bottom of this deals piece.
It has very sturdy handles on the sides as well as on the lid. This piece is in pristine condition!
It stands 4-1/2" tall.
