XL Vintage Chalkware deals Mantelpiece bust of Jesus -Belgian/French - Plaster - Balestra - Passion of Christ

This is a very large bust of Jesus during the passion. This chalkware figure is probably of Belgian origin.
Marked Depose 5051 and signed P (pietro) Balestra on the back it is coloured in a creamy brown with a darker base.
Condition: The piece shows some wear however the quality of the modelling still shows through (see photos). I have refrained from touching it up to leave it as authentic as possible and I personally think that the wear adds charm to the piece. More photos can be provided on request.
