Peterkin by Willy Pogany and Elaine Pogany, Hardcover Collectible Children’s Book RARE HTF First Edition naughty redhead faun deals boy kid's tale

This is PETERKIN, a vintage hardcover children's book, written by Elaine Pogany, and illustrated by Willy Pogany, a former Warner Brothers illustrator.

This charming story features a naughty, or playful, little red headed boy faun and his escapades with bird eggs.

Written in the 1940's, it is a delightful make believe story, and a very Hard to Find ( HTF) First Edition, First Printing, copy.

There are 15 color plates, with just adorable illustrations, and also drawings, in black and white. Some think this was made to become a cartoon movie to compete with Disney, but it didn't happen. Willy Pogany, the illustrator, was well known, but this was their first printed publication together, making it more special!

A fun book to collect or share with a child, perhaps a redhead! Or an active child that gets into things! A read aloud favorite. A very special book to display!
