Antique Meriden Silver Plated Figural Napkin Ring with Bud deals Vase Holder | Britannia Co Victorian Serviette Holder 223 with Ornate Flowers
This is a charming Victorian napkin ring in silverplate. It is stamped Meriden B*COM 223 with a balancing scale company logo by Meriden Britannia deals Co. circa 1850-1899. The napkin ring sits on top of a footed tilde covered with detailed flowers on the side. This stunning napkin ring has a bud vase holder on top of the tilde (see catalogue photo) but is without the bud vase glass and both the tilde and the napkin ring are embossed with flowers. The serviette holder stands approximately 2 1/4 inches high, 1 3/4 inches long, while the diameter of the ring is 2”x 1 1/2 “ as it's oval in shape. The ring has not been monogrammed. We have not polished it and it maintains its aged dark patina. The napkin ring is overall in very good vintage condition with no silver loss, no other chipping of silver. There is a small amount of plate loss on the underside of the tilde (see photo). The ring of the serviette holder has a small chip (please see photo) which can be felt. This hard to find design would make a great addition to any collection.
