This is a wonderful collector find.

This is a well used item.

This is a hard wood carving. It looks like the inside was carved out and the small Nativity figures and then placed inside b y nails that can be seen on the bottom of the carving. The outside is deals beatifully finished and the overal finished result is outstanding. I am not sure of its origin, I was informed it was African, but no marker mark is seen. There is wear, but overal very good with a nice smooth finish to the flat parts of the wood. Due to the wood base, I would be advisable to place a table mat/or felt under if placing on a high gloss surface.

Measurements: 4-1/2" Wide x" 10-3/4 High with lid X 6-1/4" Depth approx.

Weight: 0.878 Kilo before wrapping

This item is fairly heavy for size.
