Overview: Up for sale is this really beautiful and expressive oil painting on masonite board. It depicts a sunset seascape scene with a pier extending into the ocean and the coastline in the distance. I acquired this painting from an estate sale of the artist's daughter in Westlake Village, California. The painting is signed "D. Rose," but I didn't get the artist's first name (the artist was the seller's mother). I love the expressive and bold sunset and the stark and lonely pier at the center of the piece. It is signed and dated (1981) at lower right and on verso. It comes framed in an amazing midcentury carved wood frame. It would make a great piece in any art collection. Condition: The painting and frame are in excellent condition. Measurements: Painting measures 32 inches wide deals x 22 inches high. Frame measures 36.5 inches wide x 26.5 inches wide.
