Measures 3" closed and 5 ½” Open. 2 ¼” Blade Opens & closes just as it should. Makers trademark symbols present. Beautiful, time-enhanced patina throughout. Victorian silver fruit knife with two folding blades. Outer case, front and back are richly engraved.
Antique folding knife marked on blade very good condition for it's age with lovely patina and personalized ' M E Phelps ' on blade. This antique coin silver folding fruit knife bears a beautifully detailed design of raised flowers and curling vines. In addition to the blade, is an ornate pick.
Marked with the W & H (William Henry) hallmark - a well-known silversmith, although not marked with sterking hallmark. Silver is NOT cleaned or polished. Many customers prefer the finish/patina of vintage. This wonderful old antique is circa 1850-1899 and is finely crafted as you can see from the pictures with both sides of outer casing having beautiful raised embossed detail in the design. This is an amazing original item dating to 1830. It is a wonderful double bladed pocket or fruit knife in solid silver. It is a heavy solid piece. The blades are in very nice vintage condition and substantial - one being a fruit knife blade , tip is bent, and the other being a fruit pick. The blade is stamped with a good clear hallmark. The blades move nicely and are good and stiff in the housing. The body is just stunning with gorgeous designs of considerable intricacy and textures on both sides. It is beautiful to hold and a very attractive antique piece.

If free shipping or flat rate shipping is offered then it only applies to LOWER 48 U.S. - Shipping is never free for international shipping. Please note, shipping calculators can be very tricky - and often wrong. I ship whichever method is most cost effective for you - regardless of what the auction states. 80% of the time the package will ship via the stated service (ie: fed ex home, priority mail, etc) however I will occasionally have to switch services in order to not lose money on shipping. Also, I do try and combine shipping if you buy multiple items - this almost always means it will ship FED EX since it is more cost effective for heavier packages. Shipping may be higher for P.O. Box, especially for larger items.
