Flying silently through the night, the owl has captured imaginations for millennia. This design is inspired by the great horned owl, with its characteristic upward-sweeping eyebrow feathers.
This mask fits with eye glasses! Put the mask on, then put your glasses on over it. The open eye design allows your glasses deals to rest on the bridge of your nose normally. The beak fits over your nose, with a portion of the base layer resting on the upper lip.
Made of 3-4 oz vegetable tanned leather, it comes with a leather cord to knot in the back. The mask is cut with a laser cutter, providing highly accurate cut patterns. It is stained, stitched together, and wet-formed to shape all by hand. Finally, it is sealed with an acrylic finish.
The leather is fairly stiff, but is still somewhat flexible. The mask is just under 9 inches wide and tall. It is made to fit an adult face.
The front side of the leather is sealed to help it stay clean, but the reverse side is not waterproof. If it does get wet, it may soften; let it dry in place (on your face works well) and it will stiffen again in that shape.
